The project site is a rural environment settled around a lagoon, similar in form to the nearby Moray Ruin. The hotel is designed to surround the lagoon for its dramatic view. The residential zone is formed around a central common which echoing the lagoon.
Taking the advantage of the drastic slope of the site, each building is designed carefully to maximize privacy. The boundary between the hotel area and the residences is minimized, joining the two programs together in one continuous scene. At the same time, the slanted roofs of each building provide a unique scene of the village-scape, turning the whole site into an isolated yet communal atmosphere.
