S-SALON

2013

Tokyo, Japan

S-Salon Interior is a renovation project converting a house in a high-rise condominium into a business purpose salon for an architecture magazine company.
An architecture magazine starts out with a white piece of paper, gradually being added content and color by various architects. We adopt this idea to this salon, by preparing white, neutral space of which becomes complete when architects visit and add their own flavor. The entrance door to the salon is designed to have the same proportion as their architecture magazine. When you open this door as if you would open the first page of their architecture magazine, the brand new reborn space unfolds.

Use: Housing (Renovation)

Scope: Interior Design (Schematic Design, Design Development)
